23 May 2010 - Shokudo Dinner, Raffles City

Hi Food Lovers' people! Yesterday I had tried the japanese food bazaar restaurant at Raffles City Basement with my group of cell members. Now, I will show you the pictures of what I had for my own because I couldn't take much pictures of other food dishes. So, enjoy!

Overall

Tempura Udon $9.80 - The udon was presentable and not oily at all. The udon were not so tangy as to what I expected. The soup was clear and nice but after a few would get slightly salty below. The tempura was well fried into perfection. I actually left it for quite sometime and it's still crispy and the shrimps was crunchy as it's exactly my taste of the shrimps. I don't eat lady fingers so I don't know the taste. Rate 7.6/10

Kirin Brand Japanese Milk Tea $4.60 - A tad pricey but it's a food bazaar restaurant so can't complain much about the price. The bottled milk tea was nice and after the whole bottle, it doesn't make my thirst back again. It was great though. Rate 10/10

Yuzu Drink $4.20 - Nice and refreshing slightly sour as the yuzu fruit and peel was in the drink. Yuzu is you zi in mandarin. Rate 9.5/10

The total I had is actually was $14.40 but after 20% discount is $11.80 excluding the yuzu drink. Alright folks, that's all for now. Do visit again for more updates soon! GOODBYES!!

I want to make some japanese foods but i don't really have any japanese ingredients. Like, i know you can't actually make japanese food without the japanese ingrediants, but is there a recipe where you can make a japanese food by improvising with american foods. like instead of rice vinegar i just use american vinager. thanks!
